A new blog tackling Philippine politics and society has been launched today. Named Filipino Voices (http://filipinovoices.com), it is a collaborative effort by Filipino bloggers “to contribute to progress by providing relevant views and opinions represented in articles on the current issues of the day.”
Filipino Voices is composed of the following bloggers from diverse (and usually diverging) fields and political spectrum:

As you can see, things can get exciting once a topic is chosen and a debate ensues. This blog will surely be full of contrary opinions, allowing for a hopefully diverse (and comprehensive) view on public issues.
While I am a part of Filipino Voices, I am still unsure on what to contribute and my posting schedule. Currently, I am set on tackling street scenes (you know, all of those billboards, both commercial and political). As a daily commuter taking ordinary buses on the way home, I am blasted with all the colors and fake messages being conveyed by these billboards. Yes, they are my current pet peeves; they distract me from what is playing on my iPod.
